Los Ballesteros Mexican silver amethyst mod Bracelet

$300.00

A fabulous example of Taxco modernism by Los Ballesteros, this vintage Mexican silver and amethyst bracelet is as beautiful to look at as it is comfortable to wear. A couple of days ago I presented another creation by the same workshop and I will suggest that the two pieces are representative of their line of medium-width modernist link bracelets. In the last few years, I have come to realize that the Los Ballesteros maestros succeeded in pushing their ranking higher and higher up in my hierarchy of Mexican jewelry designers. I consider them one of the best talleres and believe that at their most creative moments, their work is at least en par with the jewelry created by the most renowned names in the field. High quality materials, perfect finishing, good weight and eye-catching presence - what more can one ask for?

Size / Weight: 7 1/4" long (wearable) by 3/4" wide; 70.0 grams

Hallmarks / Date: fully and appropriately marked with workshop's logo as shown as well as "HECHO EN MEXICO", "STERLING 925" and Eagle 42 assay mark; 1950s-60s

Condition:
excellent vintage with great weight, beautiful stones free of problems, with a warm glowing patina and no damage or repairs noted

Inv# 14672
